hmmm...i had an entire week off from work (a combo of reasons why), but it was great.

i am now reflecting on some things that have been going on in my life. i have been putting out the energy for certain things to come into my life and patiently waiting for them to manifest in whatever way the Creator sees fit. In the meantime I have been having fun and doing what makes me happy at the moment. i must say that I am happy where I am right now. like everything, I am/my life is a work-in-progress, and I am continuing to remain faithful and know that i am divinely guided and always going in the right direction.

My EARTHday was a wonderful blessing! It feels great have a New Year.

Since my Eday though we have been singing "Snowflakes fallin' on my head" it is a straight up blizzard outside. I am at my friend house right now. I have been here for a couple days now. I wish I had a digital camera b/c I would take a pictuof my car or at least the only part of my car that is visible (the side mirror)..hahahA...we have 20+ inches outside, but I am blessed that IO am stuck with friends and that we have food. I was just reminded that my EARTHday is about 1 month away from today. The anniversary of the glorious birth of my queendom is : February 14th ! I am organizing to go to Costa Rica for the week following my earthday for a retreat at th Pura Vida Spa. It should be great and would be even greater when I get some $$ to go. I know the Creator will provide me with what I need (just like Nigeria).

Speaking of Nigeria, I got my pictures back and they look great. I can't wait to put them in an album with all of the notes and narration. I have to do that very soon, because I have so much more factual information to provide. I also need to do this with my Ghana photos as well.

I'm still here...i am suppoed to ne in NJ by now, but i'm not. I tried to look up ticket prices last night but I hadn't confirmed my place to stay. I have that part figured out and now the tix are like $100 more than last night.

the meaning of chrismas: so a friend and I went to Taregt and they closed at 6PM. On our way way out with Target closing in less than 30 seconds, there is guy at the store trying to convince the security guard to let him in the store to buy tree on "CHRISTMAS EVE"...how about that. So the customers continued to get even more into the Chrsitms spirit by cursing out the guard b/c he wouldn't allow him in the store...and as we were leaving the customer was trying to fight the guard ...i tell you..all of that for atree that would be forgotten about the nxt day

Ok so today I went to get some malaria (prevention) stuff from the immunization office. It took me a year and a day to get there b/c the street where the office said "you will see the street sign" was actually not there. So I drove around for an hour which made me 45 min. late for my appointment. Now, my appointment was only 15 minutes...I found out that my typhoid had expired from when I went to Ghana, so i had to add that to the tab. So in total for my 15 minute appt. and 24 pills cost $200+. Can you believe that? I knew it would be kind of pricey b/c I remember from a few years ago, but at least that appt. was more than 15 minutes.

So with my analytical/scientifical mind, I just had to do the calculations: $15.33 per minute. It's worth it though b/c I will be in Nigeria. I just found out one of my sistah friends from school will be in Lagos visiting her family, so we are going to hook up. And a friend of a friend in Ghana will be around too...so I'll have folx to be around while I'm not being a "tourist".

I have yet to create my Nigeria lists : Stuff to do B4, to Pack, and To Get/Buy from Nigeria...peace and prosperity...

I'm getting a digital camera...since I plan on moving ahead with :|: fluidity :|: it is needed. I got some photos developed at Ritz yesterday :( ...I like Ritz, but the Beltway Plaza Location is the worst ever...I NEVER get my pictures back in 1 hour..or two...or even the same day...and it costs about the same amount to get them developed on disc as it does to get the actual photos....so...all that rambling to say, it would probably be more time and cost efficient to get a digi....

hmm...what a long week and it's only wednesday...i have been running around all week and have yet to register for classes. i think i might take kiswahili, but i haven't decided yet....i know i would enjoy it...i like learning languages...I am almost finished creating my :|: fluidity :|: site, so I am excited by that...all i have left to do is put some product on the site...i ill not begin selling right away, but I will let people know that they can order items and we'll see what the response it...okay...i'm going to sleep...anyone notice the trend in post times...this is getting out of hand...i'm acting like i don't have to go to work in the morining....peace, prosperity, and productivity....

I had a great time on my trip(s)....it was right on time..I have a lot of running around to do. I am planning on doing a vending event at Kankouran Drum and Dance Conference this year. I should be great...although I haven't heard back from Assane about the vending rates..but we'll see...I have been crocheting a lot and I am looking forward to having some people to crochet with once I start up a group.

My semester is actually going to begin next week? and it is interesting because I have finished all of my coursework and I need to just get some research done and get on the ball...it all up to me now (and the Creator of course :)

She likes to write so I think she can spend her time learning HTML and writing and running her mouth on-line. I am going to the Yoga & Meditation Retreat for Women of Color at Kripalu Yoga & Health Center. I went to another retreat there earlier this year and it was excellent and moving (see photo below). I met so many sistahs that I vibed with, so I am ready to go back again. It is very interesting how the Creator works b/c every time that I say I want to go I plan it and it just so happens that the retreat ends up being RIGHT on time!!

Greetings! Okay...WHY! was I up until 5AM this morning browsing the net. I am getting back to my ridiculous way of undergraduate school. I am learning so much in my free (and in many cases "not so free") time. I had a job interview today for a higher level position at my job and it went pretty well. I have the 2nd part later, so we'll see how it goes. Well I am feeling really creative these days and am finally going to utilize my crochet and sewing skillz (b/c you KNOW I got 'em) to make some money. I have invested quite a bit into sewing and crocheting as a hobby and it would be cool to get some financial return as well...okay I'm out.

Alrighty then...so I am still working on my formatting, content, etc. This is fun... Anyway, my day went smooth. I went to work, then I helped a friend with the formatting for her thesis, then I went to yoga...and had a great time. We did sun salutations which I really enjoy. I am thinking about doing sun salutations to help me develop my home practice. Then I came home and (although it was late) I made a bangin' stir-fry and ate half of teh pot :) Just a smidge hungry, but hey...who's looking....okay I'm out.
